Save to new?

Why does “save to new” over-right the previous setup?

Example: I created a Template project that had system, mixer & midi settings etc, this Template is used as my default project, so why when i ‘Save to new’ does it over-right my Template with the current project settings?

As long as the new save has a different name from the template you shouldn’t be saving over anything. I’m fairly sure that’s how it works. Don’t have my OT handy to check however
