Save set without samples?

Hi all,

I would like to create a new set containing a project with all my defaults and scenes and stuff, but I do not want the samples.

Is the easiest way to do an EXPORT TO SET and then, in USB DISK MODE, delete all the samples out of the pool?

Aside from the missing sample references in the machines and patterns (which is fine), are there any other side effects I am not thinking of?

Many thanks!

I don’t think so. Never tried that.
Don’t forget PURGE SAMPLES fonction.
It doesn’t work for the first 8 Flex/Static slots.
You can clear these slots with Fn+Play.

If it’s only one project it could be worth the time to go through the slots clearing them first & then avoid error messages cluttering up the new ‘empty’ version ? (After doing the purge @sezare56 suggested, to speed things up a bit)

Let us know how it works out. Mught be some other side effects but can’t think of any rn

Thanks for the replies, y’all. I will probably just get everything I want in one bank, create a new project, and copy those bank files to the new project.

I have read about that and done something similar before with success.
