Save/reload pattern?

If i save a pattern, jam on it changing mutes, plocks and trigs, then change patterns and come back, my changes are still there and reload doesnt bring the original back. What am i doing wrong?
TIA

Save and reload doesn’t work as you (and I ) would want. It’s only really of use if you know you’re about to make a mistake while tweaking a pattern. Save it before you have your accident then, after the accident, reload. If you change to another pattern, your previous pattern is always as you left it and no reload is possible.
It’s daft but there you go…

Dammit. Thanks.
What do folks do, make a pristine version of the project and save/reload it?
Make a backup on another bank and reload from there?

I make lots of copies of my patterns in progress, then, in the heat of a gig, realise I have no idea which are the good ones, which are the transitions, which are the mutant failures. Cleverer people may have better solutions…

Patterns do auto-save the moment u change patterns - so your last edits are fixed ( you can only reload the original when you don’t leave the pattern ).
The 2 work-arounds I see is 1 to make doubles of the patterns - so U can copy - paste from there if u want to recover the originals. But you have to satay in thesame performance - so this is not usefull when allmost all pattern-memory is full.
2 make a second copy of the performance . As I keep the same pattern numbers I can copy from there. but then I have to save my perf.- load the second copy - copy the pattern ( or anything else ) - relaod the Perf. I’m working in - go to the pattern and paste
