Make sure the record button led is not lit and press Function + Record to copy the pattern. Change pattern to A02 and press Function + Stop to paste the pattern. You can also change to A03 and paste it there as well.
The Analog Rytm uses a kit system for sounds and settings, that means patterns (the actual trigger information, pattern length, swing and other stuff is saved in the pattern) are independent from the sound it triggers (which track has which machine assigned, how the synth, sample, filter, amp and lfo are set as well as delay, reverb, compressor and distortion).
So the pattern basically tells the machine when it should play and the kit tells it how that will sound.
When you copy and paste the pattern, they will use the same kit. Go to kit menu to save the kit, save it to another slot or load a different kit.
You have to pay attention to which kit each pattern uses.
The kit system is very flexible, because you can change patterns without value jumps. On the Digis and Models, when you change to a different pattern, it can sound totall different and the values will jump.
On the Analogs, you can have for instance one kit for your intro (patterns A01 and A02 for example), one for the main section (A03 and A04) and a different kit for the outro.
You can also use a different kit for each pattern, there are enough kit slots for every pattern.
Remember to always save patterns, save kits and to save the project.
