Save arpeggio settings

Thought I had the save structure down on AK but lost an arpeggio setting last night and I can’t imagine how the arp could have been complicated to reprogram but weirdly/frustratingly I couldn’t nail it exactly again from memory afterward :frowning:

Can’t find exact info on where/how arpeggio is saved. Per track? Per kit? Per pattern? I save kit/pattern pretty religiously and not sure what happened. Ideally I’d often like to save arpeggio settings with sound on +drive but I’m pretty sure this isn’t how it works. Instead I thought arp was saved with kit but now I’m not so sure. Can’t find info in the manual  is this what the ‘save track’ option is for? Thanks

arp saved to KITs

Thanks for confirming. Yeah, that’s what I thought. Not sure what I did to lose settings  Maybe reloaded kit or something without thinking while working on another track. Lesson learned

Just tried to test this out and itisn’t behaving as I’d expect it to. I have an arpeggio set up on track 3, in kit 10. On pattern b04. I then go to pattern b05. Load kit 10 (which has been saved whilst in pattern b04). Arp settings aren’t there?

Also, anyone know a way to mute arpeggio tracks in terms of volume only? If I have an arp triggered on step 1 of a 64 Step pattern, and held for the duration of the pattern, when I mute the track it kills the arpeggio entirely and unmuting does not thing until the sequence repeats and the trig is re-triggered… I’ve tried both the ‘func+track’ & ‘performance mode’ mute methods…

For arpeggios that are percissive/beats it seems like a no-brainer to be able to kill/un-kill the track volume with mutes for improv stuff?

After further quick tests I’m confused. Getting the following behavior…

Track 3, kit 10, pattern b5. Arpeggio saved to kit 10.

Switch to pattern b6. Load kit 10. Arpeggio setting not there. Make a new arpeggio setting. Exit pattern b6 (without saving kit) Return to pattern b6. The b6 Arpeggio settings are lost… If I do the same thing BUT save kit before exiting b6 then arpeggio settings are stored and present when I return to pattern b6. BUT this means I have different arpeggios saved in patterns b5 + b6, but both are saved in Kit 10??

Nope !

silly me… then it must be saved to the PATTERN `…right?

yep

Cheers. Save to pattern makes sense now

The arpeggio is only activated when 2 trigs touch so it COULD be that when you unmute the arpegg; is waiting for 2 touching trigs.
I first tought it was because you used the side-track-buttons to mute - but you seem to have tried the mute - buttons on the sequencer row ?
