Sampling Berlin - Digitakt jam with samples from Berlin

Hi fellow elektronauts.

Finally back with a new sampling field trip. I went to Berlin in 2019 and recorded things that crossed my path. In this video I show you the recording process and how I used the samples to create a techno track.
Shown in the video are several tricks I use regularly to create grooves.

I also bundled the samples into a sample pack which contains the raw and processed samples as well as sample chains for any sampler like digitakt and octatrack specific . All free to download (or pwyw to support). The track is also free to download!

How about some impulse samples of the MFB reception area?

This is just downright fantastic. The found sounds translated to a really nice song is impressive enough, but this absolute champion didn’t stop there. Documenting recording sources, editing and sharing a video demonstrating the audio manipulations, sharing the samples in multiple forms. The world needs more of this. Bravo.

That´s awesome, thanks! Next time, you should contact the Elektron Studios in Berlin and give a workshop.

Thanks everyone!

Really hope you enjoy the samples. And don’t hesitate to send me a track where samples were used. Or post it here. Curious to hear what others will do with it.

Would love to mate

Great idea though. Although a bit tricky regarding copyright and all

Glad you enjoyed the video despite being so disappointed

Thanks for the kind words ! Super cool to hear. Going to create some digitone tutorials as well. Still in the brainstorm proces to decide to he approach.

Amazing they are indeed. Could do a live set on those two boxes alone for hours on end

Thank you kindly!

Haha yeah that was a funny moment

Happy to be sharing this stuff. Definitely more on the way. Have another great field recording trip which I recorded in Berlin with a good friend. And recording in Bourgogne and Vogezen in France as we speak.
