Samples don't appear in Rytm after C6 transfer (Solved)

Hi,

Apologies first off if this has been talked about already.

This is my second Rytm, and I successfully loaded samples into the last machine I had but can’t figure it out on this replacement!!

Driving me mad!

I have C6 installed, and it sees the Rytm and I have the following in config - SDS handshake, Use Extended SDS, and have the Send SPS-1PW name unchecked.

Now when I transfer samples, it says ‘done’ but they don’t show up in the ‘incoming’ folder on the Rytm. I have ensured to make sure I’ve pressed ‘upload here’ on this folder too…?

Any ideas guys?

Solved by simply turning it off and on again…! Bizarre

Having a similar issue. I created a new dir in my Samples folder, designated it as ‘upload here’ and have sent 45 samples to it from C6. I see all the relevant upload progress, but, when C6 is through and says ‘Done.’ only three (of the 45!) samples are listed in the directory :confused:

Tried turning the AR on and off but, no joy, still three samples. Disappointing and pretty flaky for such a basic part of the workflow with this machine.

Any ideas? ( NB I was hoping to bulk upload all samples to a new project rather than create kits via SDS )

i seem to remember samples not transferring if the file name was too long/or had odd characters in (Can’t remember which)

So maybe try renaming a file that currently won’t send as a test, and see if that helps.

If so - you can batch rename the folder of samples and they should then send :slight_smile:

In this instance I found that creating a folder at the root level of the Samples directory worked; although I’ve no idea why :confused:

Also, the samples, as part of a pack, have really long names so will bear it in mind! …hmm, actually perhaps the sub-directory and the long filenames made the amount of characters in the upload destination string too long —dunno, but have had a lot of fun since getting them onto the AR :smiley:
