Sampler with loop length and end point

Hi everyone

I am on the prowl for a budget hardware sampler that can allow me to adjust loop length and end points ideally to achieve a similar effect to this banger by Mia Dora called Un Sub -

I know that the Korg Volca Sample 2 and Elektron Model Samples would be able to do this, but are there any other hidden gems out there that you think I should look at? If I could get away with spending £350 or less that would be amazing.

Not 100% Hardware… a small‘n‘cheap Notebook With an audio Interface and Renoise?

2nd hand digitakt 1 are quite cheap. ive seen them for about £300 on gumtree
put an lfo on loop point, or parameter lock it.

+1 for the OG Digitakt.

If you can find an old Korg Electribe for the right price you can do that kind of cowbell madness easily.

Go for the ES, ESmk2 or ESX (I have an old ESX), the recent Sampler one seems OK but seems a bit ‘meh’ in compared to the old ones.

Korg’s motion sequencing is basically the same as Elektron’s p-locks, so on the ESX:

  • set the sample to loop.
  • assign it to a keyboard part.
  • motion sequence the EG time on the first step of the pattern, that way it’ll reset every time the pattern loops.
  • tweak the length dial by hand because the old Electribes can’t LFO sample length (it can record your dial tweaks as motion sequences).

^That’ll also work on the DT.
