Sample usage stats

How to know which sample is used?

  • For cleaning the digitakt, cleaning memory: we can know if a sample is not used at all
  • Reorganising the drive or moving one sample to another folder: we can know which project use this particular sample.
  • Renaming the “before elektron transfer 1.1” folder where the name was 'transfer-DIGITS"

My problem: I have a bunch of project with a series of field recording. The problem is that I noticed now that this folder is duplicated somewhere else and I am pretty sure they are both used by a different project.

How would you solve this?

An idea would be to delete a folder and then if a sample is missing we can reassign it. Problem is that I don’t think we have the sample name somewhere. It’s a very long sample so it’s not possible to know which is used just by listening or by context. Also, I don’t think I can trust this technique if the sample is changed on trig.

Sometimes the sounds are changed Because I’m changing them !
It happens too fast !

You have to take your time cause sometimes i don’t recognize it because pitch or effect finalize it

So to see more clearly I go to another bank by copying the track (like youdude )
To find out, what my priority goals are
How, am I going to build my editing work
Trick or treat give me some sweet !!
With the benefit of direct resampling
I resample the mikro parts internally on it
And I rename it in the samplbank
Or Ressample your prettyparts with another machine to record multiple sounds  :
