Sample tune/pitch issues - only goes to -27

new elektron rythm seems to be bugged out with sample tune and pitch only going down to -27 and thats where the pitch ends for all samples on all tracks

seems all synth tracks are fine and pitch goes all the way down

i have updated the os and completed a "calibration’’

is my unit faulty ? or is there a quick solution to this annoying issue

i’m surprised you got it to -27

the rytm only does two octaves up/down on sample pitch

mine stops at +/- 24 :zonked:

why don’t you edit/pitch your samples before you import them then?

Thanks for the advice and acknowledgement that this is a current and massive bug

dont know why everyone is focused on other bugs when this needs to be sorted ASAP, also of course an imperative alongside the sample import system which is of course is a very bad elektron joke.

other than these two very simple and fixable issues the AR is currently amazing - one of a kind like a mature grown up drummachine which has asbergers or the elektron coders have a strange condition…

ok so i just reached -127 randomly via the performance mode - so its there but is random
anyone else getting full pitch??

It’s not a bug - sample pitch only goes up and down by 2 octaves, as others have said. You can read about this in the manual.

1:Possibly, but not likely 2:the quick solution is to read the manual before creating the drama, the pitch variation is MAX 2 octaves either side of the reference pitch, ie 4 x faster or 1/4 speed and everything in between, it doesn’t do -127 no matter what you see, the lowest freq a sample can take is 1/4 rate (-24 relative) and you can arrive there by chromatic, modulation, performance, scene etc but no lower, so maybe all the hyperboles were unecessary !

stick to facts is what we should do in this situation

fact: all elektron boxes allow pitch down
Fact; AR synths go to -127
fact- AR samples go to -127 with performance mode
FACT- -27 is a bug or issue , oversight, or fuck up
fact - i have sent this a reported issue to elektron and will await a response
fact - we have numerous feature requests for insignificant hipster feature sets but this one is a relatively traditional synth/sampler effect
fact - no one has asked for coffee or indeed valium

FACT: The 127 in the Performance mode goes to the same pitch as 24 does in the sample page. But do keep going, this is a fun thread.

FACT = Page 76 in the manual (Appendix a-2)

[b]TUN /b sets the pitch of the sample in equivalents of chro- matic semitones. To move faster, press the knob while turning it. The knob works in a bipolar fashion, with 0, north, leaving the pitch unchanged. Range (-24-+24), equivalent to four octaves.
