Sample Slots Newby Question - Real Time Use Only?

I know you can load a shit ton of samples loaded into the flex or static list, so when using ‘slots’ mode, are you forced to only play the slots in real time or is there a way I can sequence slots via the recording grid?

You can p-lock samples in the sequencer from the sample list.

I’m fairly new to Elektron also so I might be misunderstanding you…but, I think the only way to sequence the samples in Slot mode is while you are in Live Recording mode.

Hmm yeah if you want to stay exclusively in Slots mode then that may be the case, but if you want to just sequence different samples on the same track then it’s doable in “regular” (Track?) mode using p-locks.

Hold a trig in grid recording mode and turn the [LEVEL]-knob to assign a different sample to the trig

Genius. Is what Matt was saying about p-locks? This is genuinely amazing.
Loving that every query I’ve had with the OT has been answerable. What a top bit of gear. Surprises me every day!

You can use [Hold Trig + Down Arrow] too.

Is this considered a p-lock or a sample lock? confused?

Manual says Sample Lock, but p-locked sample is ok I think. It is also a parameter associated with the trig.
