I’ve noticed with my MKii that all the built-in samples have way too much gain on them, to the point that previewing them results in massive clipping. I swear this didn’t happen previously, so I’m wondering what I might have done? I saw that my sample gain in the audio editor defaults to 0db, it seems comfortable if I set it to -12db, but that doesn’t work for sample previewing…
I do mostly input sampling so usually I’l turn the gain down in the attributes if I add any kind of normalized pre made sample as they’re always way louder… I never preview so that hasn’t come up…
I don’t think the gain in the attributes is that much different that the amp section vol parameter…
It basically just makes it so that if you use sample locks on one track, you can still have a way to make the different samples the same volume without having to always plock vol per trig… You can probably just lower amp vol instead of you want…
IIRC +12db in attributes = VOL +63.
