Sample memory full? Project has no samples?

Hey i have an analog rytm. Im having an issue here. When i try to load samples into a project, it tells me the sample memory is full and that i can only load 1 sample. I had already unloaded all the samples from the project and can see that every space is blank under the sample selection. I have loaded a lot of samples into the rytm itself but only now its telling me my sample memory is full. How do i clear it? I want to use this project and have unloaded all samples out of it, but i cant add any samples (except 1) to it now.

thanku

The 64 MB RAM is not only used by the samples in the sample slot list, but it holds also the samples used in the sounds from the sound pool.

Delete some (unused) sounds from the sound pool and you will see you’ll get some memory back.

I’ll guess the same holds true for kits, because any sample which is used in a project needs to be in RAM to be played (so it will get loaded into the RAM automatically in the background).

yup that did it thank you

Just when I think I have a reasonable grasp on the data tree…I was getting SAMPLE MEMORY FULL with a totally vacant Sound Pool, or RAM. I had to clear out memory from the +Drive in order to reclaim space in the Sound Pool (RAM). I realize I might be mixing up Sample Pool and Sound Pool, I’m not entirely sure each one is its own thing! Thanks TNUSSB and other smarties though, I learn something every time I visit. Cheers in 2020!

I am getting this in the Latest version…i clearaal the Samples from RAM, in a Project…for example 30% occupied…but it does not free RAM when i unload. I have to turn off / on for the SAmple space to return to the Normal 0%.

For example i have the 127 samples Slot RAM loaded… i choose All and Unload from Project. But the Memory occupied by those Samples in not freed and i can’t load anymore, umtil i turn OFF and on the Machine.

I am not doiing anything required ? Or is this some BUG ?
