I would have really liked this to be able to load mon0-samples from USB thumb drive or micro SD card myself.
SDS is utterly archaic in may respects as a sample management protocol but it seems to be a popular option around these parts.
Looking at the inputs on the back, I wonder how possible it would be to eventually have audio sampling on the AR (like the MD).

If we are going to use the word archaic at all, let’s be frank, all of them should have Ethernet ports on them and communicate over a network…that is not an elektron specific issue.

This is true I must confess - one thing I always loathed about older gear was syses and midi ads oh and firmware updates over midi that occasionally borked your gear - at least the OT and A4 can be updated via USB but I do love my Monomachine more than any piece of gear in the studio.
More importantly it’s how any technology is implemented - I absolutely hated the way the firmware and other updates where handled over USB with the Moog Subphatty when I got it also.
we are getting there slowly but surely though
starting to see more devices able to communicate over a network
I’m wondering how can I improve the transfer rate speed?
I have my RYTM set to US In only (no midi) but a 1mb sample takes about 20+ seconds to transfer. Am I doing something wrong as it seems well below what USB is capable of…
I don’t think you can improve the transfer rate. It’s the way it is in this version of the AR OSv1.1. Hold your thumbs for some other way to transfer samples to the +Drive…
From what I hear, something’s in the works to improve this…
Something is keeping me from loading a sample edited on audacity. I really don’t understand. It’s 16/48 but won’t work meanwhile a file twice the size 24/44.1 loaded fine.
