I am in a really bad situation here - yes I hvae back up, but will loose 3 weeks of intense work, if I do not get help.
Situation:
I was working on a Project last night on the train, switch the OT off to read a book, later I switch it on to continue with the work and said: SAMPLE LOAD ERROR - SAVE AS NEW. Ok did so, and then all was gone…
No Samples anymore all erased. Can someone help me? I send the File already to Elektron, to see if they can doo anything.
Had anyone such a situation already? - I bought a new MC from the beginning and formated it by useing the latest OS…
Hi, if you saved it as new,
that would imply that your old project is still there,
you should try loading it?
Its possible certain samples will be missing, but it generally telly you which ones they are, so you can go and find them and put them back
Also if you look at the MC on the PC, you should see an error log, which will agin detail the missing samples
Hope you work it out
ps 3 weeks is a long time to not back up, especially if youve been creatively busy
Definitely make copies of your project files before doing anything. If you use the “Save Project” function, you should have a restore point that you can go back to using “Reload Project” , assuming the CF media isn’t faulty.
If you do not use the “Save Project” function you will only have the autosaved version of the project. If that has gone corrupt as fault of a bug in the OT, then your only chance may be Elektron support. Also keep in mind that your CF media may be at fault and should probably be tested for errors.
Hi,
well some of the structure was kept, so I rearranged everythings … but a shocking weird experience, which brought the term “backup” again to my mind… however, some work was totally lost…
