ive listened to lots of demos and it seems 909ish but different, a bit too natural sounding for my tastes?
can it do a punchy 808-type snare? im not totally bothered if its different, just interested
Keep in mind there are 3 different snare engines…add to that the filter and you will find that the sound design is quite vast…and that’s not even factoring in sample layering
I haven’t seen/heard any demos that cover the full depth of the snare sound design. I’ve been able to dial in pretty much everything I’ve needed so far.
…so yeah, it can do really punchy snares

- after reading * yeah it seems well thought out - is there multiple of each machine - i.e. you can have 4 x fm snare, or is it only 1 x fm snare at each time?

on certain voices/tracks yes…but not all 12 tracks…i.e. certain tracks/voices are locked to their specific synth engine…and some tracks share a voice
sound can range from very acoustic to very electronic
again, the filter and LFO make the sound sculpting quite vast
and obviously, elektron’s sequencer with parameter locking
