Rytm with other drum pads?

As the title says, I was wondering if anyone hooked the Rytm up with pads that you can play with drum sticks?

It should work. Just look at the midi notes each sound refers to in the owner’s manual and then make sure your preferred midi controller is setup the same way. I have an mpd24 with fat pads and pad corx that i may be using once I get my RYTM for extra sensitivity.

Works out of the box if your midi pad controller can send midi notes on different midi channels for each pad.

I’ve got a NI Maschine Mk2 and I’ve set up each pad to send C1 (same pitch as the default on the AR pads) using channel 1 on pad1, channel 2 on pad2 and so on.

Does anyone have experience with drum pads (the stick kind, not finger) and midi sensitivity? Like, does the alesis performance pad perform the same as a Roland octapad in terms of sensitivity? If there is a difference, is it huge?
