Rytm Overbridge Macros Control vs direct Midi CC control? Any performance difference?

Wondering if anyone has any experience of this?

So, two scenarios with a Rytm being controlled using a midi controller (Faderfox EC4 in this case):

1. Overbridge plugin opened in Ableton, and having the Perf and Scene controls in OB midi mapped to the EC4.

2. No Overbridge… EC4 connected directly to the Rytm using midi din, EC4 mapped to the Perf channel of the Rytm and assigned the CC numbers.

Any reason why scenario 1) wouldn’t be as stable as scenario 2)?
