I’m trying to upgrade the OS to current version. While my mac recognizes the RYTM in normal mode, when I boot up and go to the upgrade mode the port is not recognized. I tried sending sysex over DIN but it didn’t see that either. Any advice?
You don’t need to be in a special boot mode to update the OS, just send the sysex over USB normally

I got it to work. For future reference, don’t use the method of holding FUNC at start up. Navigate to the Global Settings menu (gear icon upper left) and go to System, then upgrade OS before sending sysex file.
