RYTM mk2 startup just flashing no animation like mk1

I had the RYTM mk1 and it had this pretty kind of LED roll across the pads and leds, and MY OT MK2 does this as well.

My MK2 i just got, kind of just flashes glitchy and then boots up. Is this normal for the MK2?

also just noticed “empty reset” is just rebooting the machine and not doing an true empty reset. All projects and sounds I put in are still there. Any thoughts???

Empty reset leaves the plus drive intact. Factory reset clears everything putting the machine back to “new” state.

Yes this was normal prior to the 1.45 os update. After the update boot takes much longer and there is some minor animation (I dont even know if I can call it that).
