Hey all! I’ve got my trusty Rytm mk1 w/ OS1.30. I’m trying to to upgrade the firmware but transfer ain’t working with me. Macbook pro sees it but says it’s an incompatible OS.

Hey, I don’t know if this will help but there is quite a bit of information in this thread:
including people talking about issues upgrading.
There are also several other more specific topics started by individual people having issues with the upgrade. Since I don’t have a specific fix for this, until someone comes along who may know something useful to your situation, you may want to try the thread I linked, and also, when I put rytm 1.7 into the search I got a ton of results.

you may have downloaded the firmware for the Mk2 ! ?
Normally I would be that stupid but in a shocking twist of events I downloaded the right file for the right device!

maybe 1.30 is a little far back for Transfer - if you have an older Mac you might have luck with C6 (their old sysex app)
i would be comfortable trying alternatives (it’s just a midi file) but i don’t want to advise you to try anything that might brick it if done incorrectly - ask support for advice

I think that’s my next step. Sadly the email I used for the account is so old I no longer have access to it. And the password is wrong. Wheeeeeeee!
