The digitakt made me sell my rytm 1 and use the funds to buy a heat and tansmauz. Very happy. I like having only 1 elektron sequencer to deal with and the tanzmaus sounds seriously good. And the heat is just omg. Still lots of love for rytm but the DT has been a serious workflow disruptor

Since you can’t get any samples out from the Analog Rytm mk1 I would guess it’s impossible without a firmware update. Sample dump something is still missing right? (Sold my Analog Rytm a while back.)

I just paired a DT with my AR mk1 and must say they make a wonderful pair. DT outputs are hot enough to make good use of the external inputs on the AR, so I have DT handling clean ‘hi-fi’ sounds and run it into the AR where the compressor sort of gels everything together. I use DT as master clock because it can store BPM, but use AR as arranger because it has song mode. Plus having MIDI on the DT really makes the combo powerful. Sure, I wish the AR mk1 had the bigger pads and nicer OLED screen of the AR mk2, but I think the combination is more powerful than upgrading to just the AR mk2. If you are in the position to chose between those two options, I’d recommend the AR mk1 + DT combo.
