It’s just a performance recommendation, not a warning about cpu

It’s a recommendation of use of fx.
Using too much fx in the signal chain can chew up headroom so it’s better to get a solid kit going and use fx sparingly as an integral part of the sound design.

Since this is an Analog Drum machine, gain staging is non-linear and adjusting parameters can cause dramatic fluctuation of overall gain.

Also, If I recall well, this is part of the kit or sounds chapter.
They mean that when saving a kit/sound, better keeping it flexible enough so you can trash it later.
But of course you can save kits with lots of distortion by default :slight_smile:
