Rytm Issue

Create a simple Kick / Clap pattern in Ableton (or any sequencer). As you can see, I’m using BD1 and CP4. Adjust the “Tun” on the “Sample” of CP4. It will ALSO adjust the tuning of BD1. This can’t be normal behavior…

Can someone else try this and let me know if they are experiencing the same thing?

Thanks.

I don’t use computers for music so this would be my guess.
All the the drums on the AR are on different MIDI channels. I would guess that your AUTO channel is the culprit. Maybe Turn AUTO Channel off in your MIDI settings. You’ll probably need a different MIDI track for each drum sound on the RYTM. Should be easy to sort out in LIVE.

MIDI cable, Overbridge, USB? How is it all connected? Is the BD and CP assigned to the same midi channel?

I feel like there’s some more troubleshooting to do here

This happens for me as well, incredibly annoying.

I disconnect the USB cable every time I have to change a parameter, because
that works. Takes lots of time every session, but don’t want to stop to actually solve the problem

I was assuming there is a configuration option I need to change, something in the way it reacts to incoming MIDI (Rytm knob -> Ableton -> Rytm?)

BD and CP were not assigned to the same midi channel, but turning auto channel off solved the problem. Thank you, newgreyarea.

It’s weird because it would only happen when Session Recording was armed in Ableton. Even with auto channel on, it shouldn’t be a problem.
