I followed this digitakt video to try and see if I could map my RYTM knobs to VST knobs in ableton.

My issue is that I am not able to get MIDI from the AR to Ableton though, I copied his setup in Ableton. I grabbed a pad and set it to disable, but im not sure that is the way to go. If I need to make huge changes to my AR, this probably wont be a good setup for me since I need my drums that I programmed to play and editable while I send CC to control VSTI knobs.
My goal is to quickly map knobs to a VSTI and record automation. Trying to avoid grabbing a Novation circuit unless I have to, so wanted to try this first.
Is this possible?
