RYTM as audio interface - Input at -24db?

I set up the RYTM as an audio interface in Windows. The incoming audio in Ableton is at around -24db. Is there anyway around this?

Using the Utility to turn up the Gain of each track (or the main out if you are just using that).

I think it’s common and normal between Elektron boxes.

In the case of audio from the unit itself I would use that method but for recording incoming audio from eg YouTube that would compromise quality no? Going from 0db to -24 to 0db again.

Like sampling from youtube through usb to the RYTM, then using the sample and sending it back to ableton?

I’ll guess that yes, it’d compromise the quality but not in a huge way, probably unnoticeable after eq and analog filters in the machine.

Anyway, also when you sample to the machine the audio is normalized.

Sampling not to the RYTM but in Ableton either through overbridge or with RYTM as interface in Ableton. Either way I get the -24db issue.
