There is no equivalent feature to the OT’s ‘PLAYS FREE’ mode on the Analog Four at this time.
A workaround: sample it into the OT?

Totally free and unsynced isn’t possible as far as I know
But you can mute (function + track) or fade tracks in (double tap performance button)
Also I think you can add custom pattern lengths and spread the tracks over patterns.
thanks for your replies chaps!.. I figured it wasn’t possible - so thanks for clarification. I’m still chasing a “playable” setup and this would have been a nice addition.
re-sampling into the OT isn’t quite an option for me as I 'm often ending up with sounds with a very long tail and I also would like to keep tweaking the sounds on a synthesis level. And as much fun re-sampling is from a sonically point of view, I find it to be quite the buzz kill to set up and stops me from quickly whipping something up…
