Routing Snare/Clap Output

Pardon my ignorance and I’m sure I’m missing an obvious thread, but can someone please explain how I can send the output of the snare or clap to an external pedal and into my Motu 828x?? I see the outputs on the back and tried sending it into my Boss Space Echo, and there was almost no output–I couldn’t get the sound to be audible. I believe I had all the cables correct. Do I need to hit some buttons on the AR to get the sound to route correctly? If I have all the other AR sounds coming out the mains, can I just send the snare/clap out the output? Please tell me exactly how…

I wonder on this mainly because I’ve had a hard time getting the snare/clap on the AR to be substantial even with samples…The bass is a different story…

According to p53 of the manual, all tracks are always output to individual outs.

Have you checked your insert cables ? The outs all take TRS jacks as the signal is split, are you using TS jacks instead ?

If you are just using mono TS I’m guessing you maybe bypassing one of the sounds, if the other sound on that output is muted or something you won’t hear much.

Just guessing you probably know all this.
