Everyone else have some wobble on their AK rotaries? Knob A on mine is especially noticeable with minimal effort. And if listen close it makes an audible sketchy sound when doing it. Most others are similar but not as noticeable in normal use. Guessing as part of the knob function is the ‘press knob’ thing that this is a compromise that had to be made? My OT knobs barely move at all in comparison tho. Only had AK a few weeks and pretty sure the screen has got dimmer and now noticed this… AK has only had light home use. Is the knobs thing standard? Thanks
Just found this thread in the A4 section. Apparently it’s pretty normal. Weird my OT is nowhere near as wobbly on any of the knobs after owning a year and doesn’t have the ‘glue’ noise? Guess just one of those things… Feels kinda cheap tho
have thesame experience with my A4 - some rotaries have a tiny little more resistance than others and 1 sounded ( or rather felt ) a little scratchy.
That made me feel pretty unconfortable but I desided to see if it would become a real problem as there is the 3 -year warrenty.
Now after more that 2 years of extensive use, and I’m not the most carefull guy, I smoke and my midget-studio is in my caravan who can be very cold in the winter and very dodgy sometimes, I haven’t had any problems.
I must admit I’m not the type to worry easely about my gear, so I’m not saying that your unit is ok, how could I from a distance. I’m keeping my fingers crossed tho …
If you feel really unconfortable with it it migth be a good idea to contact elektron before the warrenty finishes.
Thanks man, yeah it’s new so I’ve got 3 years warranty, just going to keep an eye on it, seems like it’s pretty common and nothing to worry about as far as functionality so not a huge problem.
