NuWank is the generational genre.

I’ll wait for the resurgence in 20 years.

It does seem to have more contrast between the dark grey print and the silver background.

Especially the numbering above the Tr-Step buttons. I also have trouble finding step 5, 9 and 13 sometimes with my darker one.

That’s good to hear. I’m swapping mine out due to an issue, so I’ll see if I can get one of the new lighter versions to replace.

my algorithm fed me this: Omniclock – Rapid Flow

might be an interesting alternative voor NOME?

Interesting. There is a demo version available, so I will trial it and compare the clock jitter to my Midronome

yeah ! More spam please ! Dj Adonis= always brings the funk !

doesn’t work in my system. It’s even worse than normal ableton clock. Every time I restart it’s off by tens of ms. I only tested it on the TR1000 though

Works great for me with TR-1000, did you turn off the clock from Live’s Midi settings page. It won’t work correctly otherwise.

Yes I did. With the two turned on I get double the bpm.

The only way I can fix the problem is to use a ERM multiclock.

So you already had a midi clock solution?

I’m going to go that route too, I’ve been looking at the Nome 2.

The ERM solves the problem but it’s a pain to use as well. You can’t solo tracks for example, and every time there’s a tiny audio glitch when opening plug-ins or changing patches it loses sync for a bit. So it’d be nice to have a solution ITB

does the TR-1000 have simmons samples in its factory content?

Here is the GEN and INST list

I think there are some in the PCM content , or at least emulation samples
I scanned the pdf fwiw , no simmon’s but I remember hearing some I think, prob under ā€˜synth drum’ or such.

I still solo, but it requires a bit of I/O, and the audio drops are an issue for those with slow computers and/or inadequate buffers. I guess my POV is that I really like the multiclock, however I could see the Nome II or another master clock not reliant on slaving audio signal being a better choice if you’re ballin’ on a budget and don’t have the other elements of the chain required for a perfect multiclock experience.

No judgement if anyone is - I’ve definitely had my starving artist years. Pro tip: Need to buy new gear? Eat instant ramen for a month, add a slice of melted cheese if feeling extravagant. And don’t engage with other humans. They’ll encourage you to have fun with your life, and fun = money. Loneliness gives you better gear AND crippling depression, both of which can contribute to more emotive musical output which may lead to label signings.

Hello,

I recently purchased a TR-1000, but I’m having two problems I can’t solve.

The first is that I can’t hear anything in the TR-1000’s input. I tried plugging in a Moog Minitaur to sidechain it with my kick (I think that’s possible), but no sound comes out. I’ve maxed out the volume in the menus, set it to mono, and connected the Moog properly to the TR-1000’s mono input. Nothing — yet the Minitaur works fine. I’m sequencing it with a Tonverk. If I route the Minitaur to a channel on my console, I can hear it. I also tried the Tonverk into the TR-1000’s input, and again I hear nothing.

Second problem: my individual outputs are very low in volume — I have to push the gain a lot! Except when I engage the PFL on my Big Six. I don’t know if it’s coming from the Big Six with bad routing, or if it’s an internal function of the TR-1000. I’ve set ā€œindiv attā€ to off in the system menu. The faders on both the Big Six and the TR-1000 are up. My tracks are in line mode.

This is starting to drive me crazy. If you have any ideas to suggest, I’m all ears! Thanks guys !

Sorry to ask but does your EXT IN knob turned on ?

Serum 2 in ultra mode is the culprit.

Is there a way to route the audio so that it’d not affected when soloing other tracks?
