Maybe lower prices as second hand buyers will know which units to avoid because of potential button issues 
I’ve not heard back from Roland support yet, but I have a DHL delivery notification for today so I think it’s on its way back to me after the repair.

I wonder if the panel will be easier to read on the lighter version. As I find the original color doesn’t have great legibility in low light.

Gunmetal definitely looks better to me but silver probably more practical. I wonder if they changed anything else other than cosmetics and buttons.

I’ll wait for the resurgence in 20 years.
It does seem to have more contrast between the dark grey print and the silver background.
Especially the numbering above the Tr-Step buttons. I also have trouble finding step 5, 9 and 13 sometimes with my darker one.
