Thx man!

Thank you! That was very insightful and inspiring to read your workflow with both. Indeed you’re getting great results from the combo.

Sorry. Another question. Can you manually set how long a note plays?

I use a lot of loops. Can I put the loop on Gate and manually dial in whether it plays for a quarter, half or full bar?

Thank you!

Yes in step sequencer mode.
Devil’s advocate here, have you tried Koala?

Can’t say I have but I’m checking it out now. Thanks for the reply as well :+1:

I don’t think that’s true, though I wish it were.

In Microscope editing mode in the TR-REC (ā€œpattern sequencerā€) mode, you can edit the microtiming of the note, the speed/pitch, whether it’s Chroma or Pad, and the dynamics, but I don’t see any way to change the actual note length.

How long do you reckon Roland will release the bugfix for import samples and resample issue?. Not sure how they take from memory to address issues?,

Recorded an improvised ambient jam with my partner last night. SP is running end of chain for effects (ko-da-ma and ha-dou for delay and reverb, and 303 sim for compression), as well as for launching some unsynchronized/phasing loops (I really enjoy creating phase loops on the SP)

Thanks, all is recorded through the wonderful SP404. A bunch of samples and Dreadbox Typhon, it’s a monster monosynth, epic.

I like the things you do with noise :clap:t4:

I’d love to see a granular mode for samples. This way you can either play chromatically, or play the grains as chops

You can play the samples chromatically. It’s just the grains are very, very large. :slightly_smiling_face:
