I’ve decided not to keep any of my sample collection on my new SP. I’m going to sample in every sound and try to sample as much as possible from music/films/TV/whatever. I want to start with a clean empty program with every new track.
If I really need something from my sample collection (drums/synths etc.), I’ll keep the whole collection on my iPad and use the new Sample Crate app to manage and play them and sample them in over USB-C, rather than importing. I can also sample all the amazing iPad synths too, if I need to.
Hopefully this will stop me relying on existing chord/stab/bass/drum samples I already have etc. and focus on the art of sampling first and foremost… and hopefully make something a bit more interesting.
