Anyone know if it’s possible to create slides on the T-8 bass via MIDI? The manual doesn’t mention it
There are slides, set per step. Manual explains it on p20.
EDIT: oops not via midi. I misread the question. There is zero midi implementation for the T-8, unfortunately, apart from note-pitch-velocity. With the S-1 and then the P-6 they started giving these things real midi cc control.
I’m taking that with a massive pinch of salt, several times in the last weeks I’ve seen the Google AI results with completely invented & incorrect information
Dont trust humans! They are to much driven by feelings and intuitions… (irony)
It’s been flagged as inappropriate… wow . A bit of text about midi and a comment about overlapping notes
Sorry for those I must’ve deeply offended . I’ll keep my overlapping notes separate in the future .
I didn’t flag it, but there’s a bit of over sensitivity about AI in these parts
OK just to put this one to bed, I got off my lazy butt, plugged the T-8 into a MIDI sequencer (DN2 if you’re interested) and confirmed that overlapping MIDI notes do trigger a slide. There’s a bit of trial and error required to get it sounding good, but that’s a different matter.
Thanks Roland for not making a single mention of this in the manual ![]()
Incidentally I forgot how completely mental and almost unhinged the T-8 303 part can sound with the overdrive and reverb cranked right up
Agreed … if you (@re5et) mentioned some AI source, next time, if you need to say anything, say you googled it.
Many users and moderators of this forum have been pretty clear that AI generated content without a human touch is not welcome here. It doesn’t really matter what the intention was. Aside from that, a user had to manually verify whether it was correct anyway because the Google AI search overview is notoriously, hideously, unreliable.
I asked DJ Shinga on his YouTube channel and he said designs, prints, and cuts his own overlays for almost everything he uses. He recommended that I do the same! Lol
I’m a fan of the T-8’s Bass synth - sync’d it up to my OT and came up with a couple of loopy things ![]()
Any long term E-4 users here? What are your impressions and main uses? Anyone using it extensively without a mic (I.e., line level sources)? The dead-simple looper looks mighty interesting.
I use it to quickly track guide lead and backing vocals with an sm 58 into a Boss BR 80. Works fine, however no way to save presets. I wouldn’t buy it for the looper, tried it once and it’s pretty useless. Others may have a different experience though.
T8 received. Looking for a cheat sheet…
