Rode Buys Mackie

Genuinely glad to hear that!

I’m surprised at the low dollar amount.

IP is usually worth more than that so I guess that’s been stripped at this point.

What an interesting statement. I’m not offended by it in any way, but I’m very curious to hear what you mean by the “least patriotic state” bit.

To be fair, people tend to forget about the (largest) part of Washington that lies East of the Cascades (if they even remember Olympia, etc.). Still, this made me half-smirk, half-smile over here from the deep, dark Palouse  I have neighbors with American flags, others with Tibetan prayer flags, Cascadian flags, Canadian flags, Transgender flags, Rainbow flags, Trump 2024 (and 2020) flags, hell, there’s even a Chicago flag in there somewhere.

Yeah, Washington and Oregon are both like that. Well known for their relatively flag-free capitol cities, but most of the rest of both states are pretty heavy on the God, guns and trucks. Which is often associated with patriotism in the good old US of A (not saying that is or isn’t anyone’s take here).

I’ve scrolled past this thread several times today thinking its title was “Rude Boys Mackie,” some reggae group or something. Perhaps I have a touch of the dyslexia…

Born and raised!

(Not sure how Olympia ended up in the thread… )

My bad - couldn’t resist chiming in to rep non-Seattle Washingtonian cities - it’s not all Starbucks, fish tosses, and big tech! (The Olympia area is beautiful area, though; I’d love to visit again)

something, something, maga

Nick, Matt Hodson, Robbie Puricelli, and Paulee Bow. They’re kind of behind the curve on it, some of the good old days to this, but well there you have it.

Nick talks to a representative of Rode about the new combination and how the two companies will work together, and what this all means.
