Does anyone have the Roadworx/Thomann synth stand and know if the slots that hold the side clamp parts line up with the Digitone/Digitakt’s VESA mount holes?
The data sheet doesn’t have the measurements for it, and I had a dig through the forum to see if anyone else has mentioned this before, but no dice…
I could drill some extra holes, it would be neat if the slots already there happened to be in the right places for a screw & washer. I’m working out a flightcase/rack solution for my setup. The Roadworx stand apparently can be modified to fit 19” racks, so this stand and a little rack case might be a good option.
If anyone has one and can take a look at the underside, or has already done this, I’d be grateful!
Thank you, this is very helpful! Might have to go back to the drawing board as it sounds like the slots might be too close to drill extra holes through. At least the Roadworx stand is cheap so if I buy one to test and it won’t work, my A4 can sit on it at home
Also if anyone at Elektron is reading this: if you made a 2x Digi box road case, or even a recessed rackmount adaptor to go in a rack case, I’m sure anyone who wants to take their gear on the road a lot would pick one up.
I remember there was a company who made a rackmount like this and went bust, so maybe there’s not much demand…
Yes, it’s unfortunate that the distance from the bottom shelf to the lower slot is close to the distance from the bottom of the Digitakt to the lower screwholes. If you don’t need the Digitakt to be on that shelf, you can offset the places to drill enough, depending on how you’re doing the drilling.
I have that stand, you can mount a Digi Box with two screws just fine, using the lower slot. There is a small gap, about 5mm to the lower lip/edge of the stand.
I bought two double packs of those stands (shipped them to NYC, and then back to Europe). They’re pretty handy in general. I had one configured as a double, and two singles before the last move. Not ideal, but a good quality-price ratio.
