It’s only £99 at Juno at the moment, that’s where I got mine. Whether that’s a good deal or not no doubt depends on where you are though
Actually yes, from soft all the way to dubstep
I can’t wait for that
Please be sure to advertise here !
chapeau, Jeanne !
You nailed it in a beautiful way
Fantastic.
I’m very interested in your process of analyzing and reverse engineering that sound. What questions and thoughts were in your mind?
Nice! Reminds me of Fluxion.
I am certainly no expert in dub production, but have been very inspired by the pioneers and modern applications in techno and downtempo music. I’ve been working on this track, not to attempt to create a specific stab like the OP but to explore other techniques. Stereo phasing and spring reverb, Quadraverb GT, and some Valhalla and Soundtoys plugins.
(work in progress loop, please excuse the sloppiness )
Prophet 6 sequenced by DN . 4 bars recorded on torso s-4, copy track 1 to 2 to 3 different offsets and looping, different filtering and some modulation. Output thru analog heat, DN for bass, DT hihats, torso channel with additional NUX tape delay on send/return.
I didn’t think this thread would grow so much. There are some great tracks in here.
I’d never be able to pull off a perfect copy of Mark and Moritz’ sound, and even if I could that would be kind of lame…However there are definitely some interesting notes to take away from what they accomplished.
Since we’re all sharing here are some dubby demos I did about a year ago. I probably need to get around to finishing these.
Please do!
SSM-24’s don’t come up too often
It was great! Heavy bass, heavy (hand) drums. Very inspiring, the new album is dope. And there was a Prophet on stage…but not a Prophet 5. Checked up on the keyboard player after the show and synths used were the Prophet 12 desktop, (original) Bass Station and a 1010 Blackbox. Ernestus was not on stage, but overseeing things from the audience.
