Revert pattern changes/pattern transitions

Hi.

I find myself often running into this issue when switching patterns that everything I did on the particular pattern gets saved instantly. That is a really cool feature but can be also annoying when playing live.

Let’s say I made a transition pattern in which I normally change filter and delay and reverb settings before I move over to the next pattern. When switching back to this pattern for another transition, it remembered all the settings from before and I have to set them to default before I can actually use it properly

I know that there is the option to temp save and restore with Func yes/no. But when switching a pattern I don’t have the time hitting Func/no before. And even if I do, it will switch instantly back to the previous temp save instead of waiting for the end of the pattern. But then also I already have to switch to the next pattern anyway. It just doesn`t work this way somehow

Is there another way of keeping a pattern as I saved it before, so when I switch patterns it doesn`t save my changes basically?

Also I saw a tutorial to build custom fx blocks which is really cool. But I would need to get into fx and hit record in order to access them. but then in order to transitions smoothly to the next pattern I have to do so many steps which makes a smooth transition impossible.

If anyone would have any tips especially when live performing, I would be very grateful

Not a great tip, but the only strategy I can think of is keeping a spare copy (or several) of the pattern in a different location. You can for example mirror all the patterns in a bank in the next bank, so you easily know where to find them. Or copy many instances of the patterns you often transition to/from.
