Definitely a bug.

1.01 manual mentions a setting called “Q Start” that will allow ReTrig to start on a quantized beat. This setting is not actually in the ReTrig menu. I saw someone mention this in another thread and thought it was worth it’s own thread.

This needs to be fixed because a multi-finger ReTrig is the only way to do fills and if they don’t start in time then it sounds like a mess.

Otherwise I am loving my AR

Thanks

I would love that feature… indeed best way to do live fills… Being able to trigger pads on quantized steps while the sequencer is running is one of my favorite features of MPC 1000 running JJOS.

Yea I want this retrig q function to be in badly!

How ever you can do fills by making let’s say snare drum trigs with no volume or p lock trigs w no volume. Then in performance or scene mode, you just lock Turned up volume, in this case the volume of the snare. I prefer to make the fills in performance mode so you can use the pad pressure to controll volume.

Any chance Elektron will actually implement the missing retrig features from the manual?

They’re probably all getting their asses kicked trying to finish Overbridge, which keeps getting pushed back…I’m excited for Overbridge but I kind of want it out of the way already :[

I personally dont care about overbridge. And is a bit worried that overbridge will slow down overall development velocity (even when released) of the actual machines. I am guessing future features will also have to be supported by overbridge… so twice the workload for new features.

yeah, could slow down workflow.
on the other hand I imagine they had to polish the AR and A4 OS to avoid developing OB twice. so, features might be available for both A4 and AR easier.
but above all it is very hard to guess where the trouble is without knowing the code bases.
