Retrig curve fade in

When we set the retrig curve to negative, the sound fades out over the length of the retrig. Awesome… However, when we set the curve positive, the sound does not fade in. All the notes are triggered at the same loudness. Is this a bug or are we doing something wrong?

Ive noticed this too. it seems there are still heaps of problems with re-trig… aftertouch affection still doesnt work in chromatic mode when re-trig is attached. and the fact that it doesnt work still when recording it in live mode

Re-trig curve works really well when you set it in grid recording mode as a p-lock.

Also try playing with the pads velocity and aftertouch settings it makes the curve more noticable when playing it live !!

Try setting a lower initial velocity value for your trig. The initial velocity of the trig acts as the starting value for the retrig fade-in – if your initial velocity is already at e.g. 100, the fade-in doesn’t really have much effect. The same thing applies for the accent…

^^I feel like I’ve tried setting the initial velocity low but still didn’t get the “rise” on the positive retrig. Maybe I’m wrong. Will try again.

It definitely works as a fade in if you set velocity low and curve to positive.

Indeed. You need to set the initial trig to a lower velocity for the effect to work. It’s a nice way to build up to a snare pop. Set the velocity on a trig to zero. Set the curve to something like 70. Then lead that to a crisp trig hit at 127 velocity.

Well it seems that the positive retrig isn’t as noticeable as the negative retrig. And I can’t get a positive retrig to do anything when the trig is set to zero.

Negative, it sounds like the drop occurs throughout the entire range. But positive, there seems to be less dynamism.

Edit : I was being dumb. I wasn’t setting VEL on the trig page, I was setting VOL on the amp page.
