(Resolve) Volume and noise problem when resampling a track

Hello i’m new (1 month of octatracking mk1) and i got a problem i can manage to sample enimore either i check the manuel or forum already existant.

I explain my self: i resample track to save them withs theres fx but whent i see and play the sample the level is so low tha i can bearly see him and when i normaliz the sample is noisy and distoded (i holmost don’t hear the original sample)

The morning resampling was working but now i don’t know what i have done because i don’t manage to resample.

So i cheak my record parameters (desactivate A-B and C-D) for imput i selecte T1 (track where my sample is playd) …)

I try with different output ( T8 conveted in main track, main, cue…)

I check my gain signal , my gain in the sample parametterss.

I tried with différents sample, différent tracks and project.

I don’t know what to dooo plzzz help me (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ

Welcome @Ken1.

Are your original tracks properly recorded before you resample them with fx ?
What is original source ?
What are led colors when you are recording ? (Input level)

Hellow.
Thanks for your ansewr.
The sample are good and come from analog synth source but also i tried native sample pack.
The source i record is T1 and ther’s not ligth glowing when i record ( i mean in the A-B and C-D led) but i think is normal becaus i work with the Mk1 vertion.

Also i tried to change the trig in the Recordin s setup , and it’s work with Trig one but not with trig one2 and hold :frowning: .

I see you every wer in the forum I am honored that you are helping me !

Yes indeed I talked about that concerning eventual original AB/CD recording.

So T1 sample waveform is ok, but if you record T1, recording level is very low ? How is the waveform ?

Did you lowered AMP VOL or applied an lfo or scene to VOL ?
What kind of fx did you use ?

Some fx can imply a DC offset that can lower volume. (Filter, Comb Filter…)

Ok so i tried with out fx and no lfo on and it still doesn’t work (with trig one 2 and hold only (that’s strange))

There’s a picture of the waves form

Up is the original sample in T1
Down is the sample after recording in the recording slot 5 in T5.

I ressently do the latest update 1.40 but i don’t know hif ith that becaus it was working at the begining.

Thks for your help

How do you trigger the recording ?
Could you show your recording settings ? (REC SETUP 1 and 2)

Do you press REC AB or REC CD to record ? In that case you record INAB or INCD. Hence very high noise / signal ratio after normalize, noise + bleeding signal recording.

In order to record source SRC3 (T1) with T5, you need to press T5 button + Midi button, or use a one shot rec trig.
