Resampling - Volume Levels consistency

I have been through a fair few posts / different takes on this and still none the wiser so have been experimenting all morning.

In a nutshell - I am sampling into my OT inputs using every track 1-7. Using Track 8 (not set as Master) to resample selection of above tracks into one however I have been getting different level on the Resample Track when playing back on its own. I resorted to this solution below so wondering if this is best practice or a better way.

  1. Track Level I have kept maxed on all Tracks 1- 8 (127)
  2. Using AMP Vol for adjusting individual track levels instead
  3. Mixer Main kept at zero (other wise resample track is way louder on playback)

This appears to give me consistent levels when flipping between my Individual tracks and the Resample all track (T8).

I assumed to make OT master out volume louder into my DAW or Monitors I would crack Main Mixer Vol but that then effects the Resample Track (louder) so I have been increasing my sound card input volume/ Mixer instead.

Any advice duly appreciated - not had this much sampling for a long time.

If you resample a track (SRC3=T1-8), LEVEL doesn’t change recording level.
AMP VOL do.

Sorry think I typed a bit unclear- what I meant was I’m sampling on T8 the SR3 = main to record all my sampled tracks (T1-7).

I have to keep Mixer Main at zero to keep T8 volume the same as the Tracks. Not sure if there is a better solution that enables me to Increase Main Mixer Vol when required.

Sorry I read too quickly.
I don’t get what is your issue and have no time right now.

What matters is the source, not the track used to record (can be any track, T1 can record MAIN for instance).

I always leave MAIN LEVEL at 0, so that I can record MAIN.

If you record SRC3=T8 with T8 as Master track the behavior is different, and you can set T8 Level independently…

I wasn’t sure if you could adjust Main and still get consistent volume between original tracks and sampled main
