When resampling the main output (or any individual track for that matter), is there DA / AD conversion going on or is the audio being rendered like in a DAW?
Unless you are using cables from main out back into the inputs for re-sampling, my guess is that no such conversion are being made inbetween? As being no expert, I may be wrong though.
Sounds logical but can anyone confirm this for certain? It’s not terribly important I’m just curious.
It’s a digital process, you rearrange bits in your ram memory! 
AD/DA conversion happens on the OT when using the physical inputs and outputs.
