looking to jam with a buddy in a different state. currently using Sessionwire. pretty sweet. we can record each others output but, its a One, Two, Three…GO to start kind of scenario.
we’d like to either sync our DAWs or, somehow, have one of us be able to start the others master clock device [whatever midi instrument].
I found Session-Element. it has DAW sync, but no vid conf. and is pretty expensive.
does anyone know of any other apps, devices…what have you, that could allow one of us to start the others gear?

is there REF to that in a manaul or something you can point me to?
later: been searching…I don’t think you can do this state to state. looks like the computers need to be linked. I don’t have a midi cable that is 1800 miles long
Yeah sorry I think with link you both need to be on the same network … The problem with what you’re trying to do is latency … Hmm …
These guys also have some plugins for sync’ing stuff but mostly over same network too… They have this plugin that detects beats?! maybe worth checking? https://showsync.info/tools/beattracker
so no audio lag using Sessionwire. its great. but we just can’t start our setups on time.
we count in…and its damn close. no drift. but…it would be pretty sweet to have someone remotely start the whole kit.
