I sold my Octatrack and would like to transfer my registration to a new user. How is this done correctly. Could not find any precise info on this. Any help is welcome…

If the machine is under warranty you can provide a copy of your original proof of purchase (receipt) and the warranty will pass over to them and extend for the same 3 years as it did for you, from the date of sale. If the Octatrack is still under warranty and you have no P.O.P. the 3 years of warranty will begin from the week#/year coded build date on the serial number sticker on bottom. If it’s out of warranty, it’s a non-issue.

Elektron doesn’t complicate the process like other companies, all the new owner needs to do is set up an account on the elektron website and they can register the serial number as one of their owned devices. If they already have an account, all that needs to be done is add the serial number.

In reality, most people don’t even do that part until they need to make a claim or open a ticket as elektron doesn’t restrict firmware or documentation downloads to registered users. You can verify the purchase date on your original receipt or the serial sticker, and you can educate them about these things, but otherwise there’s nothing else for you to do.

yep, if you already registered it you just have to log in to your account, go to registered devices & unregister the unit. a single click.

then they can register it in their account.
