Reformatted +drive how to restore

I reformatted my +drive on accident and can’t seem to figure out how to restore it. I tried reloading the OS 1.1 and that didn’t fix the issue.

I read on the forum that’s there’s a “factory reset” option but I can’t seem to find it anywhere on my A4.

your personal +Drive contents are probably lost forever.
that’s a shame.

but the factory sound banks & project can be restored with a factory reset:

  • switch A4 OFF
  • hold FUNCTION
  • switch A4 ON
  • wait for the menu to appear, then press trig button 3.

imo, the +Drive format option should be less easy to trigger accidentally.
all you need to do is GLOBAL > scroll down >> hit YES twice… this is much too easy!

i backed up all the work i’ve done. but i’m still learning so there’s no harm in starting from scratch.
