This is a disappointing trend overall. At least plastic kit like the SH-101 was tank-like. Never touched an OP-Z but I doubt I’d have a problem with it. I tried the MC-707 and returned it because I felt it wouldn’t last for as long as I’d like through normal to heavy use. Time will tell if I’m wrong. Regardless, I wish more gear used metal or decent plastics. Metal dents but it doesn’t warp as easily nor crack. Good plastic, just have to be careful with.
Like the N64 controller, those things were tanks. I still have two PS2 controllers. My new Nintendo Switch Pro controller, while made of plastic, doesn’t feel as robust and locked together.
