Recording Tonverk into Audacity - "invalid sample rate"

I’m not doing well with the 'Verk these last few days! Just tried to record it into Audacity, in the same way in the past I’ve recorded my OG DT and stage piano, and I’m getting “invalid sample rate” in Audacity.

Not sure why this would be. Steps:

  1. Tonverk connected to laptop (Windows 10) via supplied USB-C cable
  2. Open Audacity (v3.7.8)
  3. Audio setup > scan audio devices
  4. Audio setup > recording device > “Microphone (2- Elektron Tonverk)”
  5. Start record
  6. Instant error, even without playing anything from the Tonverk

Diagnostics:

  • Windows reports that the Tonverk is kicking out 4-channel, 24 bit, 48000
  • Same issue regardless of whether host = WASAPI, MME or DirectSound
  • Audacity recording channels is set to 4
  • Audacity audio set up > project sample rate is set to 48000

Anyone else experienced this or got recording working via a different audio program?

Yep having issues with audio on windows after this latest update too, I think 1.40 straight broke everything as far as usb audio goes. My main program for recording is OBS as I like to stream and do visuals alongside my music. It doesn’t recognize TV at all in default USB mode and has issues in Overbridge mode where auditioned audio wont play at all (like while picking samples/multisamples/subtracks)

Sorry to hear you’re having issues too. Perhaps there’s a general USB audio issue as you say, as I’m also having this issue whereby anything I sample into the TV from the laptop over USB is loud and very clippy. But that was happening with 1.31 before I updated to 1.4 today.
