I am currently facing some issues trying to use Digitakt 2 playing recorded stems from my daw, I can not figure out why the stem is recorded distorted and crackles, all seems do be ok and i tried everything even though i record a 16 step one shot and still distorts. Can you guess what might be wrong or it just cant handle it? I am exporting from Fl Studio to RME 802 to Digitakt 2 maximum 128 steps. Hope it lands somewhere.
Sorry for being obvious but are you watching the levels on the Digitakt? If they’re not too high, could it be that they’re actually very low and the Digitakt normalizes significant noise upwards?
In any case, you can also record straight into the Digitakt using Overbridge, that would be the cleanest. Just need to enable some routing in the VST and DAW
theres a gain control on overbridge , just load up the app, click on the tape icon and turn gain down .
there are also latency / buffer setting on overbridge control panel .
personally , id just use the daw to make all the stems , ensure they all loop, normalise etc … just put them on digitakt via transfer at the end to play them. … ive not had issues doing this
