Recording sounds inside and outside the home using a handheld recorder

I’m planning a major recording/sampling event this weekend in and around my home. Lol. I know I’m overlooking some good actions terms that will lead to interesting sounds.

Also, please provide examples like…

Drop coins, car keys, fingernail clippers or:

Scrape sandpaper against a weathered, wooden yard troll

Drop
Tear
Switching on/off
Scrape
Shake
Crumple
Dragging
Squeeze
Close/open
Two moving objects collide
Breaking
Rattle
Pour
Burn
Gutteral

Clang a handheld pan with water in it

Break Eggs

Fry Stuff in oil (use above ingredients and tools!)

Sit still and record the rooms in your house for a few minutes.

Record your speakers making sounds.

Feed animals (see below)

City noise, public transport like subway or buses. Trains.
Depending of where you live, maybe ships and water.
Animals in general are a great source for sounds.

I did an “audio tour” of the american west a while back. I got a lot of gophers and some bison. Some people talking in a cave.

But the best part was walking through yellowstone with my zoom at my side, catching snippets of like a dozen languages and another dozen accents in english.
